Well a while back we had a "discussion" and someone said that the parameter variations were to big to be implemented that way, so you needed the chip upgrade with the new curves. Then someone argued that saying that it could be done...Bottom line it seems that nobody really knows...(The people that really know only talk when there is money on the table :-)
